It was a very warm afternoon. I was on my way back from Cub Scout camp with my oldest son Caeden. I was all set for a nice long shower and prepping for the wedding of Mike & Janna. My first wedding of the season…
I arrived at the Jefferson HIll Vineyards & Guest House before the bride and groom. It was breathtaking. It was just “cool” enough (for the end of July. HA!) that the sun wasn’t overly hot. There was enough of a breeze that outdoor photos would be just ducky. Awesome.
While the bride and groom got dressed with their children, I captured the details. Weddings are not only about the B&G (as my photo taking list says!), but also about the details. The details some people often forget during the festivities!

Who doesn’t love shoes?!

Or shoes with rings?!

You can’t have a wedding at winery without photos of wine bottles and glasses… Just sayin’…

While Janna completed the finishing touches to her outfit, I stole the groom Mike and made him sweat a little bit on the porch. Remember Mike – this was like taking Senior pictures.

Next up are his gorgeous daughters and their Daddy. Seriously – lock them up when they get older Mike. They are so beautiful and sweet too!

See? They are just adorable!!

Janna’s kids joined us too and I captured them as well. This makes me feel old. Skyler is my brother’s best friend and Logan (or Togan Larry as I used to call her!) is one of my kids’ favorite babysitters! They are now all grown up!!!

Seriously Logan? Gorgeous…Oh and does she look familiar blog fans? She should be – she’s one of my K Rene Seniors – Class of 2011!

And I can’t leave Sky out.

And we get to Janna the bride.
She’s so pretty!!! And so stinkin’ happy!

Nice job on the bling Mike!!

Mike & Janna. Swoon…

Janna – you have some good lookin’ kiddos!!

Such a great looking family!!

Before the wedding Janna thanked everyone for coming. We all made a toast and headed upstairs for the wedding.

The wedding. I love small, intimate weddings. They make my heart warm. Don’t get me wrong – big weddings are awesome too – but there’s something about making it so personal. Janna and Mike really included everyone that attended especially their kids. From Janna’s children walking her down the aisle, to them all standing up as the bridal party, from having her mom and her best friend read, to passing around the rings (on a pillow) to have everyone bless them to watching them not only become one – but become a family, it was just beautiful.

After the wedding they had dinner and socializing!
From hammering their anniversary box they will open in 5 years to make margaritas to falling in love with the sunset – Mike & Janna I wish you nothing but the best in the world. :)
